How Not To Act As An Agency

I’m the CCO for a mid-sized digital marketing and public relations agency, Elasticity. We have 20+ incredibly talented people who work in our offices in St. Louis and Chicago, and we have a severe lack of pettiness, politics, and put downs. It makes for a healthy work environment, where everyone succeeds or fails on their ability to get things done, and their ability to make our clients happy.

In many client situations, we also face another dynamic. That of the dreaded shared contract with other agencies. I jest, because, for the most part we got along quite well with the other agencies we work with. We recognize that they are there because of their expertise in a certain area, or their historical knowledge of the client and their goals, or because they have rather smashing business cards and a guy with an accent.
